Prerequisiti | Psicologia Fisiologica, Neuropsicologia, Psicologia Generale |

Contents | The module of Neuroclinics of Cognitive Processes is one of the three modules of the course of Cognitive Neuroscience and Laboratory. |
Textbook and course materials | Bibliography (see the related program of the Cognitive Neuroscience course for more information): |
Course objectives | At the end of the course the student must demonstrate that he-she is able to apply his-her knowledge, understanding and problem solving skills to new issues. Furthermore, the student must know how to communicate the knowledge acquired to specialists and non-specialists in a clear and unambiguous way. The course aims to provide advanced preparation in the theoretical design and operational fields of cognitive psychology and neuroscience. Furthermore, the course aims to provide basic knowledge on the main theoretical models of normal and pathological cognitive functions and the biological basis of spontaneous functional recovery activated by pathological intervention. |
Prerequisites | Physiological Psychology, Neuropsychology, General Psychology |
Teaching methods | The module of Neuroclinics of Cognitive Processes is provided for a total of 21 hours (3 credits, 7 lessons; 3 hours each) of frontal teaching. |
Evaluation methods | In all appeals, students take an oral exam on both the general (i.e. book) and all suggested articles. The oral exam aims to assess the ability to describe the main theoretical models of normal and pathological cognitive functions and the biological bases of spontaneous functional recovery activated by the psychological intervention. Furthermore, the exam ascertains the ability to communicate clearly and unambiguously the design and operational theories of cognitive psychology and neuroscience. Finally, students’ ability to create critical connections, the quality of the organization of the speech and of the exposition, the use of the specialized vocabulary as well as the relevance of the answer are evaluated. |
