Contenuti | Il corso affronta lo studio delle tematiche fondamentali della psicologia generale, nella fattispecie: percezione, attenzione e coscienza, apprendimento, memoria, linguaggio e comunicazione, pensiero ed emozioni. Attenzione specifica è rivolta all'approfondimento dei metodi e delle tecniche di ricerca utilizzati dalla psicologia scientifica per la misurazione, la comprensione e la spiegazione del comportamento. |

Metodologie didattiche | Lezioni frontali, presentazione di esperimenti rilevanti sui temi principali trattati e discussione in aula (8 CFC; 56 ore). |
Metodi di valutazione | Il test si compone di 31 domande, ciascuna con quattro possibili alternative (A, B, C, o D), di cui una sola è corretta. Il limite di tempo a disposizione è di 45 minuti. Le risposte sbagliate non vengono computate ai fini del punteggio totale. Il punteggio totale si basa sul numero delle risposte corrette, con un punteggio di 18 che rappresenta il punteggio minimo per il superamento dell’esame. Durante la prova non è consentito l’uso di smartphone, calcolatrici, dizionari, libri, materiali didattici o appunti. |

Contents | The course surveys many fundamental areas within the field of general psychology, namely perception, attention, learning, memory, language and communication, thought, and emotions. A principal focus is on how psychology uses scientific methods to measure, understand, and explain individual behavior. |

Teaching methods | Frontal lessons, experiments presentation on the principal topics of the course, and discussion in class (8 CFU; 56 hours). |
Evaluation methods | The test consists of 31 questions, each one with 4 possible alternatives (A, B, C, or D), one of which is correct. The time limit is 45 minutes. Wrong answers do not contribute to the total score. The total score is based on the number of correct answers, with a score of 18 representing the minimum passing score for the exam. During the test the use of smartphone, calculator, dictionary, books, teaching materials, or notes is not allowed. |
