    Contenuti

    Durante le attività di laboratorio (4 CFU) saranno presentate le seguenti tecniche di analisi statistica:
    (A) i modelli di analisi fattoriale esplorativa: analisi delle componenti principali e analisi fattoriale;
    (B) i modelli di analisi fattoriale confermatoria e i diversi metodi di stima dei parametri.

    Obiettivi formativi

    Rendere lo studente autonomo nella verifica delle ipotesi, mediante le analisi dei dati considerate, e nella capacità di interpretare i risultati.

    Prerequisiti

    Le conoscenze preliminari all’insegnamento sono relative alle tematiche trattate nelle discipline a contenuto metodologico-statistico degli insegnamenti ai Corsi di Laurea triennali e alla magistrale in Psicologia Clinica, in particolare gli argomenti del corso di “Metodi e tecniche della ricerca in psicologia clinica e Laboratorio”.

    Metodologie didattiche

    I modelli di analisi dei dati trattati saranno illustrati da un punto di vista applicativo mediante opportune esemplificazioni e facendo riferimento a dati sia didattici sia reali.
    Per questo scopo, saranno introdotti e utilizzati durante le attività di laboratorio alcuni software freeware di analisi statistica (es., R, JASP).

    Metodi di valutazione

    Per conseguire l’idoneità di laboratorio ciascuno studente dovrà presentare una (1) relazione.
    La relazione (o _report di ricerca_), potrà essere firmata da un massimo di due (2) persone, dovrà avere come oggetto la sintesi e l’interpretazione di un’analisi dei dati svolta con il software R o con un altro software a scelta dello studente.

    _Report di ricerca_
    Ciascuno studente o gruppo è tenuto a definire o procurarsi un insieme di dati (database). I dati possono essere: (a) inventati, (b) simulati, mediante le funzioni di R; (c) reali, presi da un database che troverete sul sito dell’insegnamento o da un database in possesso dello studente (es. dati della tesi di laurea).
    Il report dovrà essere strutturato secondo le indicazioni contenute nel modello pubblicato sul sito dell’insegnamento (Modello Report di ricerca) e dovrà descrivere l’applicazione di uno dei modelli di analisi presenti nel programma dell’esame.

    A questo insegnamento è associato un corso da 4 CFU. Durante le ore dedicate alle attività del corso saranno presentati gli aspetti teorici relativi ai modelli di analisi dei dati nel programma.

    Programma del corso

    I punti principali affrontati nel laboratorio saranno dunque:

    (a) attendibilità e validità delle misure;
    (b) l’associazione tra le variabili: covarianza e correlazione;
    (c) analisi fattoriale esplorativa: analisi delle componenti principali e analisi fattoriali;
    (d) analisi fattoriale confermatoria e i diversi metodi di stima.

    Course objectives

    Make the student autonomous in the verification of hypotheses, through the considered data analysis models, and in the ability to interpret the results.

    Prerequisites

    The preliminary knowledge needed is related to the subjects dealt with in the disciplines with methodological-statistical content of the teachings in the Bachelor of Science and the Master of Science in Clinical Psychology, in particular, the subjects of the course of "Methods and techniques of research in clinical psychology and Laboratory".

    Teaching methods

    The data analysis models will be illustrated from an applicative point of view by means of appropriate examples and by referring to both didactic and real data.
    For this aim, some freeware statistical analysis software (e.g., R, JASP) will be introduced and used during laboratory activities.

    Evaluation methods

    To complete the laboratory and get the CFUs, each student must submit one (1) research report. The research report can be signed by a maximum of two (2) students, must have as its object the synthesis and interpretation of a data analysis carried out with the software R or with another software chosen by the student.

    Research Report
    Each student or group is required to define or obtain a set of data (database). The data can be: (a) invented, (b) simulated, through the functions of R; (c) real, taken from a database that is uploaded on the course website or from a database held by the student (e.g., data of the degree thesis). The report must be structured according to the indications contained in the model published on the teaching website (Research Report Model) and will describe the application of one of the analysis models present in the course program.

    Other information

    This course is associated with a laboratory of 4 CFU. During the hours dedicated to the activities of the course will be presented the theoretical aspects related to the models of analysis of the data in the program.

    Course Syllabus

    The program of the Laboratory will therefore be:

    (a) reliability and validity of the measures;
    (b) the association between the variables: covariance and correlation;
    (c) exploratory factorial analysis: principal components analysis and factorial analysis;
    (d) confirmatory factorial analysis and different estimation methods.
